Chinese steamed sponge – Jane Su

Jane Su Here is the recipe:
It is by Ochikeron which I have slightly adapted.


A:
200ml milk
2 Egg
4 tbsp of maple syrup( I used golden syrup)
2 tbsp of oil
2 tsp of vanilla essence because I did not use maple syrup.

B:
200g cake flour (I used plain flour)
60g icing sugar
4 tsp baking powder
A pinch of salt.

Mix A ingredient all together till frothy.
Mix B ingredients together make sure you sieve the dry ingredients well and then fold into ingredients A.
I used my tart cases to hold my steam sponges and steam on medium heat for 15 mins.

Makes 10 steam sponges
