Sweet and Sour Chicken Hong Kong Style

Marinate 30mins the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, sesame oil, ginger wine and corn flour.  Place the chicken in some plain flour, then dip the chicken in egg and coat a second time with the flour.  Fry the chicken in hot oil.  I suggest you refry before serving which will make the chicken crispier.

Sweet and Sour Sauce

The group members all have a variety of ways they make the sauce.

Here is what I used:

Tinned pineapple with the juice

Tomato puree

Tomato Sauce



Corn flour to thicken.

Basicly put all ingredients in the pan and add the corn flour mixture to thicken.  Add the refried chicken.

Members also used, worcester sauce, hp sauce, grapefruit juice, apple juice.
